Summary: | [Display omitted]
► Three new aurones, altilisin H–J, have been isolated from the leaves of Artocarpus altilis. ► The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. ► These compounds were found to show tyrosinase and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities.
From the MeOH extract of the leaves of Artocarpus altilis (Moraceae), three new aurones, altilisin H (1), I (2), and J (3), have been isolated together with two known flavonoids. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. All compounds possessed tyrosinase inhibitory activity with IC50 values less than 100μM, while compounds 1–3 displayed potent α-glucosidase inhibitory activity with IC50 values ranging from 4.9 to 5.4μM. |
