Description
Summary:[Display omitted] •Two new dimeric indole alkaloids were isolated from Bousigonia mekongensis.•Their ability to inhibit glucose-induced mesanginal cell proliferation activity was evaluated.•Compound 3 showed a noteworthy effect with an IC50 value of 2.6 ± 1.0 μM. Two new eburnamine-aspidospermine type dimeric indole alkaloids and one known compound (leucophyllidine) were isolated from the roots of Bousigonia mekongensis. Their structures were determined based on NMR, MS, FTIR, and UV spectroscopic data. Their ability to inhibit glucose-induced mesanginal cell proliferation activity was evaluated, and leucophyllidine showed a noteworthy effect with an IC50 value of 2.6 ± 1.0 μM.
