Description
Summary:The work reports the pharmacological applications of non-radioactive metal complexes with bis(thiosemicarbazones) and bis(hydrazone)-derived ligands. The antimicrobial, antiparasitic, and antineoplastic effects of these complexes, together with investigations into the interactions of some complexes with biological targets aiming at understanding their modes of action are described. The potential applications of copper(II) complexes with bis(thiosemicarbazones) for treating neurodegenerative diseases and studies on their mechanisms of action are also discussed. [Display omitted] The present work describes the multiple pharmacological applications of non-radioactive metal complexes with bis(thiosemicarbazones) and bis(hydrazone)-derived Schiff base ligands.
