Summary: | Thermal deformation is one of the most significant factors influencing the precision of NC machining. This paper studies the thermal deformation mechanism of ball screw feed system (BSFS) for high-speed vertical machining center. Based on the thermal condition of feed system, the temperature field model of BSFS is established. By changing machining parameters such as rotational speed, loads and the flow rate of coolant, different results of thermal deformation are obtained. By analyzing the effects of machining parameters, we get the influence factors of BSFS’s thermal deformation. This work can help us reduce thermal deformation effectively, and improve the precision of NC machining. |
