Description
Summary:Heart Rate Variability (HRV) as a demonstration of autonomic nervous functions reflects human health and its well-being as it corresponds to bodyweight requires investigation. An HRV study was proposed on different age groups and body mass index (BMI) during a supine state for 20 mins with a fixed breathing pattern. We extracted the time and frequency domains. It was found that CVRR, rMSSD, and pNN50 had lower HRV properties for the overweight group compared with the normal. A significant difference between normal young and normal adults may reflect a decrease of cardiac autonomic nervous functions in normal adults and elucidate the aging process.
