Summary:Representing all kinds of information related to location visually via the approach of computer graphics is the main function of Geographic Information System (GIS), so that the rescue commander can realize and dispose the emergency more rapidly through intuitive manner, the efficiency and capability of rescue command center will also be promoted. The detailed applications of GIS on emergency rescue include positioning of emergency, surrounding environment researching, real-time tracking by GPS, video monitoring and GIS emergency response planning.
