Summary: | In order to provide detailed references for the design of vaneless inertial particle separator, some multivariant performance is studied in this paper. Taking a certain inertial particle separator as the prototype and using the validated compute method, some performance is measured by numerical simulation on reducing the height of inner wall, changing the height of flow channel, changing inlet size and changing the inlet velocity of sand. The results show that lower inner wall or lower flow path decreases the separation efficiency and increases the total pressure recovery; performance of models with lower inner wall is better than ones with lower flow path; rough sands are more sensitive than fine ones when flow path changing; inlet size change only has a great impact on the inlet flow rate; inlet velocity of sand increase would make the separation efficiency largely slump. |
