The Element-Free Galerkin Method for Two-dimensional Schrödinger Equation

In this paper, a meshless global element free Galerkin (EFG) method is given to obtain the numerical solutions of the two-dimensional time-dependent non-linear Schrödinger equation. The moving least-square (MLS) approximation scheme is employed to construct the shape functions. A time stepping metho...

Description
Summary:In this paper, a meshless global element free Galerkin (EFG) method is given to obtain the numerical solutions of the two-dimensional time-dependent non-linear Schrödinger equation. The moving least-square (MLS) approximation scheme is employed to construct the shape functions. A time stepping method is applied to deal with the time derivative. The numerical results show that the EFG method may compute this kind of problems with good accuracy.
