Summary: | This article considers the results of an experimental process of laser cutting of BT1–0 titanium alloy sheet billets. It also shows the influence of the laser cutting mode on the quality of the cut. Some recommendations are given to choose the parameters of laser cutting mode for titanium sheets of 2 mm thick. To minimize an amount of dross during laser cutting of titanium alloy by means of fiber laser, it is recommended to carry out cutting at frequency radiation mode at about 100–200 Hz with the maximum speed of the cut. Focal spot for cutting of materials with thickness up to 2mm should be placed on the surface of the material; the pressure of additional gas for the research of material thickness should be chosen in the region of 1.0–1.2 МPа.. |
