Summary: | In this paper, Collective System Design (a systems engineering methodology) is applied to the development of an academic course in manufacturing systems and manufacturing process design. Collective System Design strives to maximize the potential of an enterprise by creating a sustainable organization that is successful. Likewise, it is proposed that the Collective System Design approach may be used to create a successful and sustainable educational experience for students and may serve as a model to be used for course design within any educational curriculum. |
