Description
Summary:Notched round-bar tensile tests were conducted on three types of metals, and their flow stress curves were identified. Deformation of the specimens was recorded using two CCD cameras and the changes in their cross-sectional radius were measured using a digital image correlation method. The average tensile stress was corrected through an inverse analysis, and the numerical results coincided with the experimental results. Measurements of the longitudinal profiles of a necked specimen were also carried out. Numerical analysis results using the identified flow stress curve showed a good agreement with the experimental results.
