Description
Summary:The cross section is an important parameter in nuclear science it is obtained using different models in theoretical calculation way. Level density is one of the key input components for calculating the reaction cross sections in particular. In this study, the cross sections have been calculated using level density models on some medical radioisotopes. The calculation were performed using TALYS 1.95 computer program and the obtained data were compared with the available experimental data and the effect of level density models on 12C, 16O, 14N, 28Si, 63Cu, 90Zr, 197Au, 107Ag, 186W radionuclides have been investigated. It is clear that GSM level density models generally give conclusions that are harmonious with existing experimental data. •The cross sections have been calculated using level density models.•Some medical radioisotopes are used.•The calculation were performed using TALYS code.•The obtained data were compared with the available experimental data.
