Pregnant women in their second trimester with child birth fear scores of 28 or more were randomly selected and assigned into experimental (50) and control group (50). The intervention consisted of nine educational sessions based on the integrated theory. The control group only received routine antennal care. The findings showed that the educational intervention based on the integrated theory was effective in reducing the rate of primary caesarean section.
