Summary: | The Malaysian Government has brought changes in the rural region by creating agriculture projects and re-grouping landless families from rural as well as suburb areas in the planned FELDA scheme throughout the country. Four dimensions were studied, demographic, economic, social and psychological to determine any social and cultural changes due to urbanization in FELDA settlements. The economic dimension was believed to give significant change to settlers while demographic dimension gave little effect. Almost all respondents agreed that urbanization will change their social and cultural lives. Urbanization could benefit all FELDA settlers’ current and future generations by improving their living status. |
