Description
Summary:Bulk (Ce–La–Pr–Nd) 65Co 25Al 10 metallic glass with critical diameter of 15 mm and high mechanical strength was developed. The addition of multi-lanthanide metals with diverse electron configurations and similar atomic sizes induced a sharply decreased liquidus temperature and remarkably improved glass-forming ability of (Ce–La–Pr–Nd) 65Co 25Al 10 compared with single-lanthanide metal-based alloys, e.g. La 65Co 25Al 10 and Ce 65Co 25Al 10.
