Summary: | In this research, using the information obtained from Tehran Municipality, the municipal solid waste incineration plant with a capacity of 4 MW power generation was simulated and the effective parameters were investigated. Then, in order to achieve the power of 19 MW, optimization was done and by exergy analysis, the loss of different parts was determined. Finally, economic and environmental analysis of the process was performed. The results showed that the amount of steam produced by the boiler to cool the exhaust gases of the furnace from 750 to 300 °C is equal to 298 tons per day. This amount of steam has a bar pressure of 24 and a temperature of 350 °C. The steam sent to the turbine generates 4 MW of electricity. The waste incinerated per day is equal to 180 tons, which requires 1,200 tons of air per day to perform the combustion process. After completing the simulation, it was found that the obtained turbine power is equal to 4.052 MW, which has an error value of 1.34% and also the furnace power is equal to 67510000 kJ / h. Finally, the simulation was optimized to generate 19 MW of electricity and it was determined that the waste discharge should be increased from 180 tons to 879 tons per day. |
