Description
Summary:In recent years, precision agriculture has gained significant attention as a result of the rising demand for food and water by the world population and the increasing impact of climate change. This highlights the need for innovative solutions to address this critical challenge. Farmers are facing a shortage of water and fertile land, which demands a new approach to their work. Intelligent irrigation is crucial to improve yields and maximize the use of resources. Various machine learning-based irrigation models have been proposed to minimize water wastage. This paper introduces AIDSII, an AI-powered digital application that leverages IoT-based precision agriculture and CNN-LSTM models. It offers a comprehensive feedback system through mobile and web technologies, enabling farmers to automate, optimize, and streamline their irrigation processes. •AIDSII is a cutting-edge digital system that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize irrigation processes, resulting in efficient water usage and improved crop yields.•The system utilizes AI algorithms to analyze various environmental and soil data, such as weather conditions, soil moisture levels, and crop characteristics, enabling it to make intelligent decisions regarding irrigation scheduling and water management.•AIDSII provides real-time monitoring of key irrigation parameters, allowing farmers to have a comprehensive view of their irrigation operations. This enables them to detect anomalies, identify irrigation needs, and take timely actions to address potential issues.•Water conservation by precisely adjusting irrigation based on the specific requirements of each crop and the prevailing environmental conditions, AIDSII helps conserve water resources by minimizing unnecessary water usage and reducing water wastage.•The intelligent irrigation capabilities of AIDSII contribute to improved crop productivity and quality. By ensuring that crops receive the right amount of water at the right time, the system helps optimize growth conditions and supports sustainable agricultural practices.
