Description
Summary:Solar drying technologies and applications in the last 10 years have been summarized and discussed in this article. A wide scope of the main elements that make this technique effective and more reliable. This work gives a different perspective by studying and comparing solar dryers according to the different configurations used, ways to enhance the efficiency of the solar dryer, reduce the drying time, and improve the overall efficiency of the dryer. This article discusses different designs used for specific drying applications, more possible design configurations, the use of energy storage materials in solar drying systems, and solar hybrid advancements. The importance of numerical analyses, CFD simulations, and drying modeling in optimizing the design and performance of solar drying systems is emphasized. The review provides valuable insights and guidance for researchers and practitioners to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of solar drying technology, leading to more and better drying solutions.
