Description
Summary:The influence of DC current flow on graphene foam have demonstrated the broadband red emission centered at ∼750 nm, characterized by the threshold behavior and exponential increase of intensity with external applied current. The emission has taken a place from a whole large-area of graphene foam surface. Its mechanism was discussed in terms of current induced ionization of graphene responsible for the luminescent transition assisted by ejection of hot electrons. •The current driven broadband emission of graphene foam has been reported.•Luminescence intensity increased exponentially with applied electric power.•Lack of blue shift with increasing applied voltage.
