Summary:A practical and efficient catalyst-free cascade cyclization reaction of 2-acylbenzoic acids with various amino alcohols or diamines was developed. This protocol provides a powerful and straightforward method for the one-pot synthesis of diverse isoindolobenzoxazinones, isoindoloquinazolinones and their derivatives.
