Latent fluorophores based on a Mannich cyclisation trigger

We report the synthesis of a strongly blue-fluorescent pyrazino-benz[ e]indole derivative, and its utility for enzyme sensing in biological assays through an original Mannich cyclisation triggered fluorescence unveiling.
