Trisubstituted allenamides are synthesized by the isomerization of propargylamides with DBU. The reactions afforded a variety of substituted allenamides under simple and mild conditions. One-pot synthesis of allenamides from propargylamines, which were easily prepared by aldehyde-alkyne-amine coupling in one-step, is also achieved.
