Summary:Microorganisms exert both beneficial and deleterious effects on food stuff. Foodomics is a new holistic approach that employs advanced omics technologies for the exploitation of food and nutrition sciences. This article intends to review the methodologies of foodomics, especially in proteomics and metabolomics.
