Description
Summary:A dam is a hydraulic structure that blocks a watercourse or reservoir to raise the water level. It also serves to concentrate the pressure at the location of the structure and create a reservoir. The two-term law of friction is not only of theoretical importance, describing the nature of the forces of friction between solids, but also of great practical importance. It should be used where it is necessary to consider equilibrium conditions between two bodies adjacent to a large area of actual contact, for example in the construction of transport vehicles on a steel base, as well as in the calculation of the strength of adhesive joints that may be subjected to forces not only perpendicular to the surface contact, but also parallel to it.
