Summary: | Today's vehicles - in all modes of transport - are becoming increasingly connected and cooperative, as well as automated, raising a number of issues about the role of the "driver" of all kinds (i.e. operator, rider, pilot, captain) in such vehicles. In order to increase the public's acceptance of AVs, it is important to understand which factors significantly affect it. This is also the scope of this paper that presents the identified risks towards the user acceptance of AVs, as they have been primarily identified by internal and external (to the project) experts and as they have been also confirmed by the H2020 Drive2theFuture project technical and piloting activities. |
