Summary: | This work presents a new approach for establishing a relationship between the temperature and the spatial position, for infinite cylindrical fins, providing an innovative tool for this class of phenomena. The results are valid even for nonlinear heat transfer processes, especially those in which the thermal conductivity depends on the local temperature. Exact formulas for the temperature distribution as well as for the total heat flux are provided in a simple and systematic way. |
