Description
Summary:This work presents a numerical model describing the thermal source during electron beam welding. The numerical calculations have been performed using the Finite Element Method. The accuracy of the model has been verified both by experimental data for electron beam welding of aluminum alloys, carbon steels and by comparison with another analytical heat source model of electron beam welding. The comparison of the numerical and experimental data shows the adequacy of the model. •Using Finite Element Method, the model describing of the thermal source during electron beam welding.•Comparison of numerical and experimental data shows the adequacy of the model.
