Summary: | The transport property of CuCl powder was investigated by AC impedance spectroscopy under high pressure. Each parameter varies abnormally at the pressure points of phase transitions. Under compression, the charge carrier changes from ion (F4‾3m) to electron (Pa3‾) and then back to ion (Fm3‾m). To the F4‾3m and the Fm3‾m phases, compression makes the charge-discharge process easier and the grain and grain boundary resistance decreased. To the Pa3‾ phase, the lattice strain increasing with the pressure increasing causes the activation enthalpy decreased and the electronic transport easier.
•The electrical transport properties of CuCl were investigated by impedance spectroscopy measurements under high pressure.•The transport parameters were given out and the transport mechanism was discussed.•Under compression, the charge carrier changes from ion (F4‾3m) to electron (Pa3‾) and then back to ion (Fm3‾m). |
