Summary: | Toxic and environmental harmful organic solvents are widely applied to prepare poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based nanoparticles (NP) in standard preparation methods. Alternative non-toxic solvents suffer from disadvantages like high viscosity and plasticizing effects.
