Description
Summary:This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/our-business/policies/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of of the authors. During a follow-up analysis of Fam208a interaction, some mistakes and inaccuracies were identified in the authors’ work and correction of the multiple changes in the publication text and figures would make it difficult to read. The mistake that was identified recently is a critical one – it was found in the purchased library of coding sequences cloned in vectors for identification of protein interaction in the two-hybrid system (Y2H) contained upstream contaminating sequences which very likely affected proper translation of downstream sequence for tested interaction partner. This error should have eliminated two targets, Amn1 and Eml1 from the authors’ set of identified putative interaction partners of Fam208a. In general, such an error was difficult to identify in unbiased high-through put methodology as researchers usually rely on the purchased material and do not control it in deep details.
