Description
Summary:The advent of digitalization has raised new opportunities for automated decision-making and integration of production processes. However, the effective and timely use of decision-making tools requires robust and reliable data acquisition systems to extract model relevant parameters and to drive the proposed enterprise wide coordination strategies. This work aims to create a knowledge-based platform for systematic creation and management of production recipes based on industry standards, namely ANSI/ISA-88 and ANSI/ISA-95 standards. The platform supports the generation of master and control recipes ready for production planning, scheduling, and complete process management. Thus, information can be delivered as required by the decision-support tools. As a result, this framework stands for a traceable and reliable tool, which supports recipe management functionalities and could support the creation of decision systems that react to production disturbances. In addition, the framework allows for integrating the transactional systems with analytical tools.
