Summary:Sound velocities of solutions of manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II) perchlorates and chlorides in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) were measured at 298.15 K. Adiabatic compressibility coefficients of the solutions were determined, and apparent adiabatic molar compressibilities of the salts at infinite dilution were evaluated and discussed.
