It shows significant uptake of H 2 O, MeOH or CHCl 3 vapours with easy regeneration to the native form, and breathing-type CO 2 adsorption contrasting non-porosity towards N 2 , providing a new example of a highly flexible porous material. 2D Zn II 3 [W V (CN) 8 ] 2 ·DMA CP was converted into flexible regenerable 3D 3rd-generation PCP Zn II 3 (4DPNDI)[W V (CN) 8 ] 2 ·DMA disclosing water, methanol, chloroform, and CO 2 sorption ability.
