Summary: | In this Letter, the authors propose a novel approach to maximise the receiver response for molecular communication systems. The previously reported investigations for such systems are limited to a Dirac impulse and a rectangular pulse to transmit molecular information to a receiver nanomachine. Alternatively, they use a signal matched to the channel impulse response to maximise the molecular concentration delivered to a receiver nanomachine. They also derive an analytical expression for the probability of error. The simulation results confirm that the proposed approach is superior compared to the traditional works. |
