Summary: | With a growing number of large-scale new energy sources integrating to grid in China, it is necessary to investigate the fault characteristics of the grid. Fault characteristics of an actual wind farm with full power inverted (FPI) sources inside were analysed based on its fault recorded data, with the current features of outgoing line and collector lines investigated, respectively. Next, fault current calculation model for FPI sources under low-voltage ride through strategy was proposed, based on a comprehensive analysis of the control system of FPI sources, where the response of current loop and current limiter was explored. Finally, the model was verified with simulation in a variety of fault scenario. The proposed calculation model is proved to be precise enough to meet the demand of short-circuit calculation. |
