Iterative Iodocyclization: Total Synthesis of Polyrhacitide B

Abstract A highly stereoselective total synthesis of polyrhacitide B is reported. Key reactions are an iodocyclization protocol developed in our group, the Maruoka asymmetric allylation, the Bartlett–Smith iodocarbonate cyclization, and iodolactonization.
