New Simple Chiral Phosphine Oxazolidine Ligands: Easy Synthesis and Application in the Palladium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Allylic Alkylation

ABSTRACT New types of chiral phosphine-oxazolidines have been easily synthesized in a straightforward one-pot process starting from optically active aminoalcohols. They were screened in the Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylations of 1,3-diphenyl-2-propenyl acetate with dimethylmalonate. The reac...

Description
Summary:ABSTRACT New types of chiral phosphine-oxazolidines have been easily synthesized in a straightforward one-pot process starting from optically active aminoalcohols. They were screened in the Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylations of 1,3-diphenyl-2-propenyl acetate with dimethylmalonate. The reaction proceeds smoothly in good to excellent yields and excellent stereoselectivity was obtained (up to 97%).
