Summary: | The angle measurement method described here measures the difference in arrival time to a detector of a light beam reflected by a surface being measured and a reference ray. This measurement is made by alternately detecting both rays with a photodetector at the focal plane of a lens and electronically obtaining their arrival time difference. With this information, and reading the slopes along a straight line, the profile of a reflecting surface can be found. |
