Description
Summary:The pure rotational spectra of seven isotopic species of the chemically unstable symmetric top molecule iodostannane, SnH3I, have been measured in the region 28.3–31.6 GHz, using a microwave spectrometer. Each transition (J→J+1) exhibited a complex K structure due to quadrupole coupling and centrifugal distortion. A quadrupole coupling constant eQq=−1273±8 MHz and centrifugal distortion constant DJK=0.0041±0.0003 MHz were obtained from the analysis. Rotational spectra of vibrational excited states were observed for the most abundant isotopic species.
