Plasma Density Measurement by Electromagnetic Wave Propagation at Small Angles to Magnetic Field

The propagation of a left‐circularly polarized plane wave in a plasma at small angles to the static magnetic field direction shows a sharp “dip” in the wave amplitude when the plasma frequency equals the wave frequency.
