Description
Summary:The limiting conditions are examined under which the kinematics of diffusion or the kinetics of reaction predominate. Consideration is given to a system in which homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions occur with and without convective flow. Experimental measurements of hydrogen atom recombination on catalytic surfaces, as a function of total gas pressure, are interpreted in terms of surface- and diffusion-controlled processes.
