Summary: | A method is described which utilizes a generalized convolution to produce simplification of the equations of a wide range of classical diffusion processes. The resulting transformation expresses the solutions to these equations in terms of solutions for much simpler problems, many of the latter being already available in textbooks. Demonstrations are given of the use of this method in the facile development of the required concentration mappings for certain systems. |
