Hot‐Electron Plasma Stability in Mirror and Minimum‐B Containment Systems
In all configurations which have ``saddle in B'' fields, independent of shear, a dominant cross‐field loss is observed which can be suppressed by a cold‐plasma background. In minimum‐B fields, cross‐field loss is suppressed independent of the cold plasma.
