Summary:A discussion of the nucleation kinetics in the phase separation of a solution of He4 in He3 under conditions of coexistence of the liquid and solid phases, when solid inclusions of a new phase enriched in He4 form in the liquid matrix, is presented. The growth rate of the new phase is determined by the probability of penetration of the particles into the new phase. Equations are formulated and solved to find the size of the inclusions and the change of pressure in the volume as functions of time. The times characterizing the phase separation process are estimated under the assumption of homogeneous nucleation.
