Summary: | The conditions which must be met by any parametrization of the correlation function of amorphous samples so that it can be physically consistent are briefly discussed. Three examples are explicitly worked out. They correspond to simple analytical expressions both for the correlation function and for the scattered intensity. They are used for determining the specific surfaces and the angularities of some two-component samples already analyzed using standard procedures. The results are satisfactory and indicate that the aforesaid parametrizations could be successfully used also in the case of three-component samples. |
