Description
Summary:The development of a method to analyze the chemical dynamics of a repetitively excited chemical system is given along with the analysis of a helium plasma and the implications of the analysis. The method is based upon (1) numerical (Runge–Kutta–Gill) solutions to the coupled differential equations which govern the discharge and (2) the application of the recently described ’’Fourier Amplitude Sensitivity Test’’ (FAST) to the solutions, which enables one to determine the principal dependence of each species on the fundamental rate processes present. The results of this analysis are generally in agreement with previous work but go further in giving a picture of the detailed dynamics.
