Summary: | Measurements of Rayleigh–Brillouin spectra of gaseous mixtures helium–krypton and argon–krypton have been performed over a range of concentrations and temperatures. The data have been compared successfully with the theoretical spectra using the approximate equation of Cohen, Sutherland, and Deutch. We have considered, for the first time, the effects of temperature changes upon the spectra and have also successfully employed the analytical expressions of Kestin et al. to determine the thermodynamic constants of our mixtures. |
