NH3+ ĊH2 radical in α-glycine single crystal. Effect of the trapping matrix on the structure

The radical NH3+ ĊH2 is generated by a γ irradiation followed by a photolysis at 2600 Å of α-glycine single crystals at low temperature. From its study by EPR, this radical is shown to be nonplanar at the carbon site in this matrix.
