ESR study of ṖCl2 radicals produced in a single crystal of PCl3

ESR spectra of ṖCl2 radicals were studied in single crystals of PCl3 made at low temperature and irradiated with γ rays. The principal values and the direction cosines of the hyperfine and g tensors were determined in the temperature range 25–75 K. The relative signs of the couplings, the modes of m...

Description
Summary:ESR spectra of ṖCl2 radicals were studied in single crystals of PCl3 made at low temperature and irradiated with γ rays. The principal values and the direction cosines of the hyperfine and g tensors were determined in the temperature range 25–75 K. The relative signs of the couplings, the modes of motion of the radical, and its location in the matrix were determined from the temperature dependence of the hyperfine tensors.
