Autoionizing Rydberg structure observed in the vibrationally selective, two-color, threshold photoionization spectrum of jet-cooled aniline
We report the observation of sharp autoionization structure in the two-color photoionization efficiency (PIE) spectrum of the I20 (1B2) band of jet-cooled aniline. The energy onset of this structure allows us to assign it to vibrational autoionization of high lying neutral Rydberg states with Δv=−1....

Summary: | We report the observation of sharp autoionization structure in the two-color photoionization efficiency (PIE) spectrum of the I20 (1B2) band of jet-cooled aniline. The energy onset of this structure allows us to assign it to vibrational autoionization of high lying neutral Rydberg states with Δv=−1. Based on linewidth measurements, a lower limit of 0.5 ps can be set for the lifetime of these states. |
